FRUIT ORIENTATION ALTERS THE QUALITY OF LITCHI (LITCHI CHINENSIS SONN.) UNDER THE AGRO-CLIMATIC CONDITIONS OF EASTERN INDIA

چکیده

Objective: The experiment was conducted on ten litchi cultivars, namely; Purbi, Bedana, Lal Bombay, Mandaraji, Calcuttia, Late Trikolia, Dehradoon, Dehrarose, and Seedless No. 2 to assess the physical chemical composition of fruit as affected by orientation tree.
 Methods: Fruits were picked both from lower upper half portion tree at fully ripened stage physio-chemical attributes analyzed.
 Results: result indicated that fruits not only heavy in weight but also had more percentage total acidity. However, stone weight, ascorbic acid content, sugars found be collected Conclusion: It can suggested picking should started those which are positioned collect superior quality.
